While I've been enjoying using pen, I suppose it was never going to be long before I went back to graphite. There is something very satisfying about the range of marks and tone that can be made just with a pencil on paper.
As spring arrives and clothes them in leaves, I'm about to lose the lovely structures of the thorny hedges around here. I've been looking at them as I walk and drive, taking it in and committing to memory.
My little one is a country girl. Seems right I should draw her in the landscape.
