The Ruby Star Project is Done!
Just a quick post to thank everyone who took part in the raffle, buying tickets online or at Festival of Quilts. It was lovely to be back at the show and to be able to see so many of you. Here's the Ruby Star stand with the amazing prizes on display.
I'm delighted to let you know that we sold all of the raffle tickets meaning that I've raised £5000 with the Ruby Star Project. A massive thank you to everyone who supported me in this. Both I, and the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund are thrilled. The draw was made on the last day of the Festival. The quilt will be heading to a new home in the US...
The sewing machine and the Starry Starry Night quilt by Jill Packer are heading to new homes in the UK.
The thread sets are also going to UK winners, and Catherine Nicholls' quilt, Ruby Raven will be shortly winging its way to live in the Netherlands.
So a huge thank you from all of us! As soon as I've got a final total for the fundraising I'll let you know.
