Party Dress
With all the decorations back in the loft for another year the party season is over, but I realised I'd never showed you the dress I made Amelie for Christmas Day.
I raided the button tin for some vintage buttons and these turquoise ones were spot on.
When she tried it on, size 4 was a bit too big so I added a ribbon to cinch it in a little.
It's based on the Geranium dress that I've made lots of times before, this teacup version is still one of my favourites.
The new version is in fine needlecord with a paisley print and it is as bright as it looks in the photos. Well it was for a party after all! I cropped it short for a sugar-plum-fairy effect and added eight layers of tulle underskirts and a cotton lawn lining. Simple when you say it quick, not so easy at 10pm on Christmas Eve.

It was a hit!
Thanks for dropping by,
