Some sewing!

Linda and I had been talking about relocating the longarm to my studio ever since we moved here. Last week we decided there was no time like the present and so we shifted plan chests, desks, and crates of fabric to make a space big enough, then with Jamie and a trailer in tow we took the longarm apart, loaded it up and brought it back here. It's been a while since we set it up, but somehow it all came flooding back and while it was a long day, we're now all set up and there's even a quilt pinned on.

This one's been queuing up on my design wall for what must be almost a year so I think it's high time it was finished.

The needle is poised and the theory is whenever I have a spare moment I'll just do a little bit.

Meanwhile, Amelie's been growing and all her trousers are suddenly half-mast. I'd bought the pattern for this all-in-one weeks ago and despite the best intentions hadn't got around to cutting it out. With the trouser situation getting desperate I've made them this week and I'm really pleased with how they turned out. The pattern is very simple with room for some adjustments and customisation next time, but for now they fit and she thinks they're great.

Naturally our photo shoot quickly descended into chaos. Any visitor who leaves our house without a sticker somewhere on their person is very lucky indeed.

Thanks for dropping by,
Laura
