Still love landscape

So I've been drawing portraits, but I still love landscape, especially at this time of year. We're nearly at the shortest day and with daylight being so precious at the moment it was lovely to see a bit of sun and blue sky as we drove home yesterday. I snapped these as we went along, from the passenger seat of course!

Ok, I know it's blurry, but I'm going for atmosphere!

There is a series of trees like this one along the lane as we drive down to our village. They're huge and old and sculptural.

Thanks for dropping by the blog today.
Bye for now,
Laura

  1. I love the nakedness of winter. I can see where birds built their nests, the sculpture of the tree form, and things that are hidden are now out to be enjoyed. The trunk of those trees are huge and I live in the Northwest where we grow big trees - wow! Wishing you and your's a very merry holiday and I look forward with anticipation to another year learning via DMTV. Thank you so much for broadening my skills and mind. Until the new year - Cheers!
