Pom pom love

There's no way I'll get all of them done, but I'm attempting to make a dent in some of the things that need finishing off around here. The front of this cushion had been pieced for ages, a few nights and it was quilted and ready for making up.

I'd bought the pom pom trim with playroom cushions in mind and I think it's the perfect finishing touch for this one. There's a danger everything's going to get pom pom trim!

I did a simple stitch and flip back worked through wadding and backing so it's a substantial cushion cover that should stand up to plenty of den building.

The stars are English paper pieced in a mix of commercial prints and my own hand dyes. I've hand quilted it and added little tufts in the centre of each star.

Thanks for visiting the blog today.

  1. Lovely, Laura! I love the technique of EPP but everything I do always seems to look old-fashioned. You've managed to produce something fun and contemporary while still - presumably - having had the pleasure of sitting in front of the TV sewing the shapes together.
