New Website
OK, well this post should be accompanied by a fanfare of trumpets but instead I'm just going to quietly whisper "I think the new website is done!". I can hardly believe it.
I'd like to invite you to head over and take a look at the all new home of DesignMatters TV.

I'd like to invite you to head over and take a look at the all new home of DesignMatters TV.
I hope you'll enjoy browsing the new site and seeing what DesignMatters TV has to offer. If you're already a subscriber please Login using your usual username and password. You'll find all the Latest Videos are there to watch, plus if you have Archive collections added to your account, they'll be there too.
Archive Video Shop
There are four new mini Archive collections available too. We've been asked so many times to release more video workshops from the DMTV back catalogue so this is just the start. We'll be adding many more in the coming weeks. You don't need to have a DMTV subscription to be able to buy Archives. So if you just want to watch a couple of videos this is the option for you.
Forums
You'll also find there are forums. These are just for DMTV viewers so whether you're a subscriber or have just purchased an Archive Collection, you can drop in, ask us a question, share your ideas and work in progress.
Help
I hope you'll love the new site. It is all brand new and there are bound to be teething issues that only come to light when we let you all in to try it out. If you aren't sure about anything, have questions or get stuck please don't hesitate to email and we'll help out as quickly as we can. Thanks so much for your support of DMTV and we look forward to chatting to you in the forums.

Looks great Laura - don't know how you've found time to fit it all in!
ReplyDeleteJust had a late night peek. It's great! I love the new look and navigation is really easy. Extremely well done :-)
ReplyDeleteThe new website looks fabulous! I navigated to all the interesting spots and everything worked exactly as it should. My only complaint was that the shop was empty. My wallet thanks you for that! It truly is a very appealing site with lots of visual interest but not too much as to be distracting. I also saw some archives to put on my list for inside days. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteAny chance you might consider putting your quilt course online in the same way as the sketchbooks one?
ReplyDeleteThe new website looks amazing, really easy to navigate and really stimulating. Amazing use of images but I agree with Jeannie about the shop, I got all excited when I clicked the button but I'll keep checking as I know you will have it open soon. You deserve a pat on the back for all your hard work.
ReplyDeleteAs you may know, I am a fairly late comer to DMTV. So I had hardly used the old site at all. Therefore, it is difficult to compare. But I have to say, bloomin well done that woman. You said somewhere that you were not web designers and that we should be gentle with you. Well, if you're not web designers then I don't know what you are, because it looks and feels damned professional to me! Loving the videos by the way. Why did it take me so long to join?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the link to the new site. I know that website design can be really tricky, but I must say that yours looks very professional and it's clearly laid out. I especially like the number of high-quality pictures that you use; they are very inspirational. Hopefully I'll spend much time on this site in the weeks to come.

Moving to a new site can be quite hectic and may cost you valuable traffic. What I did when I moved my blog was get an expert to optimise it better. Tactics like local listing, social media marketing, and PPC will go a long way in attracting people to your amazing new site. Getting the right people to do your online marketing will make all the difference.
